Who We Are
A Church Building the Family of God Without a vision, the people perish (Proverbs 29: 18b)
The name 'The Vine Church' is derived from John 15: 5, where Jesus said 'I am the Vine, you are the branches'. This passage encourages us the be Christ-centred and relationship-based and has been adopted as our signature verse. This is reflected in our logo, the bunch of grapes - 9 of them representing the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5 and our mission statement - 'Building the Family of God'.
The DNA of The Vine can be summarised in the following expressions of our life together:
WORSHIP
Spirit filled worship which leads people into the presence of God
BIBLICAL TEACHING
Lifestyle related biblical teaching which guides people practically in how to live the Christian life
EVANGELISM
Effective evangelism that brings people into the family of God
SPIRITUAL GIFTS
Identification and use of the congregation's spiritual gifts
MINISTRY
Ministry that involves the whole body of the church
LEADERSHIP
Servant team leadership
